The Media War In Architecture
This report explores the profound impact of digital media, particularly the screen, on architectural production and representation. Through interviews and archival work, this research constructs a narrative of screen-based theory, pedagogy, and practice from the 1990s by engaging with the key figures, institutions, and material culture that shaped it. By revisiting this history, the study repositions architectural production and representation at the intersection of media and conflict. In doing so, it also begins to hint at ways in which architecture can engage critically with the geopolitical and aesthetic challenges arising from a contemporary culture increasingly shaped by conflict and its mediation.
